Giant has unveiled the new Revolt Advanced SL, a racing gravel bike conceived as a “complete speed system”, where frame, fork, cockpit, wheels, and tires have been developed to work together. The brand says the whole setup cuts 288 g compared with the previous generation and improves aerodynamic drag by 18.99 watts versus the previous Revolt Advanced Pro.
The proposal is aimed directly at gravel racing: more lightness, better aerodynamics, and a more aggressive geometry. Giant has worked alongside Cole Paton and Brendan Johnston, who have already raced prototypes at events such as Unbound. According to the brand, the new bike is designed to maintain speed over rough terrain and offer greater pedaling efficiency.
Among the technical new features are the 839 g Advanced SL frame, a 385 g fork, a 295 g integrated Contact SLR XR cockpit, and the debut of the Cadex Max GXRwheel system, with a wider profile and a specific design for 45 mm tires. The geometry also changes for racing: lower and longer position, a 74.5-degree seat tube angle, increased tire clearance up to 53 mm, and the abandonment of the flip chip in favor of a UDHdropout.
